This video shows  CNC Router controlled by test G-Code I created to show the level of routing detail it will be able to produce. I have a standard plotting felt pen mounted in the spindle (it is not rotating). The mounting for the pen I made so that it can freely float about 10mm in the Z axis.
This video is of my  CNC Routers first test showing all the 3 X, Y & Z axis movements. Mechanically it is not yet complete but the basic system is now functional. Yes I know I spelt Copyright with 2 P's I will correct this when I re-edit the video.
This video is the the first fully functional CNC machining test. For work setup I have engraved a centre target and X axis lines 50mm apart on the router bed.
The router originally had straight Gantry side supports. The disadvantage of these is that it reduced the Y axis routing length by over 100mm.  Once the router was functional I used it to profile and machine offset Gantry sides. This then placed the spindle motor further back towards the centre of the gantry width, thus giving back 100mm Y axis machining length.
Video taken during the machining of the new off-set Gantry Sides. This was the first real cutting test for the router. Although it's primary design intention was to work with Wood and Acrylic, not  Aluminium, it did however perform superbly. Its like, I had to make the machine the way it was at first so that I could use it to improve itself. Now it could almost replicate itself but better.

This is the first practical use of the Dust Extraction Hood I made for my CNC Router. Further details of its construction are in the Projects section. I will also be posting this video on YouTube.
